twelve or so we found ourselves in second place chasing down Dan Flannery for the lead. We were a little better than Dan but he was just good enough to keep ahead of us. Dan is a good kid and I’ve never had a problem with him so I wasn’t going to move him out of the way. Finally on the final lap I was able to get a nose under him off of turn two and was able to clear him between turns three and four to take the lead down to the checkered flag.
The win coupled with some bad finishes by the point leaders has put us back into third place, 20 points out of first with four races to go. I haven’t won a championship since 2006, so I am really hungry and will do all I can to try to make it happen.
